New Year gifts from OKTA for the children from the surrounding schools 

(27.12.2021, Skopje) – This year, OKTA used the funds intended for corporate gifts to donate New Year gifts to the pupils from the elementary schools located in the company’s surrounding. The New Year’s surprise was made to all pupils from first to ninth grade in the central elementary school “Brakja Miladinovci” in the v.Miladinovci, as well as to the children from the two regional schools in the villages of Mrshevci and Tekija.

„We are happy to contribute for creating joyful New Year’s atmosphere for the children from our neighborhood. With our donation we hope that we will initiate many children’s smiles and will create sweet holidays moments and memories “, state Marija Stavreva, CSR and communications manager in ОКТА.

In the elementary school “Brakja Miladinovci” located in the Municipality of Ilinden, which consists of one central and two regional schools, 366 students attend studies. The gifts were delivered during the New Year party organized in the schools.

„This action of OKTA created a festive and holiday mood in our schools, especially in the conditions that the pandemic with Covid-19 has created this year. The children welcomed the gifts with joy, and we are grateful to OKTA, which once again proved that is our responsible neighbor and a good friend”, said the Director of the Municipal Elementary School “Brakja Miladinovci” Marija Zoksimovska.

The support of the education and youth is one of the main pillars of OKTA’s CSR strategy. In the past period, the company donated 30 laptops and 10.000 masks for uninterrupted education in the elementary schools in the Municipality of Ilinden. During this year, the company supported the construction of three inclusive playgrounds in the elementary schools in three municipalities in the country, as part of the project of the “Step by step” Foundation and in cooperation with the local authorities. For five years in a row, OKTA awards scholarships for postgraduate studies at different faculties of the University “St. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje.
