OKTA and Hellenic Petroleum awarded three postgraduate scholarships at the University of Piraeus
(Skopje, 04.09.2019) – Today, at the OKTA headquarters, three students from the country signed contracts awarding postgraduate scholarships at the University of Piraeus by OKTA and the Hellenic Petroleum Group. Two of them, Gjorgji Kalpakoski and Mario Menchovski are awarded full scholarship that apart from the studies paid by Hellenic Petroleum Group include OKTA’s allowance of 1,000 euros monthly for living expenses, while Angelcho Panov is awarded partial scholarship that covers the University fee only.
The postgraduate scholarships are part of the Energy: strategy, law and economy program, which is the only Master’s program of its kind in Southeastern Europe and defines the fields in which the three scholarship recipients will upgrade their knowledge and expertise.
At the competition, announced this May, a total of 14 candidates applied while the selection of the winners was made by a professional committee from the University of Piraeus, based on the educational and professional qualifications of the candidates.
By granting these scholarships, OKTA and Hellenic Petroleum continue the efforts to support the education and development of young people in the country as in the past. For a third consecutive year, Hellenic Petroleum Group has been awarding a total of 25 scholarships for postgraduate studies in Greece to students in the countries where the Group operates (Greece, Cyprus, Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia and Bulgaria). This year, OKTA will support ten more students with scholarships for postgraduate studies from five respective faculties at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius.
