OKTA and Hellenic Petroleum grant scholarships for postgraduate studies in Greece

- For the second year in a row, students from the country will have the opportunity to win scholarships for postgraduate studies in Greece. The competition for applying is open and it is intended for students from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics. The scholarships will be awarded for the Postgraduate Program in Energy Strategy, Law & Economics of the University of Piraeus, as well as for the Postgraduate Program in Petroleum Engineering of the Technical University of Crete. The scholarship, in addition to the tuition fees of the faculties, will also cover the living expenses for the students in Greece, in the amount of 1,000 euros per month. The applications will be evaluated by professional commissions at the universities and they will decide who will receive the scholarships.

These scholarships are an excellent opportunity for ambitious students to continue with their education and to upgrade their theoretical and practical knowledge on prominent universities in Greece. The main objective of the program is education and training of the students in order to acquire wider scientific basis in the area of the oil industry and the energy sector. The research and teaching of both postgraduate programs are conducted in English through implementation of innovative methods which will include seminars, educational visits, research projects related to the energy market and the oil industry in and out of Greece, emphasizing on the wider Balkan and South-East Europe region, where HELPE Group is active.

This scholarship program started last year when HELPE Group signed a three-year cooperation agreement with the universities of Piraeus and Crete.
