OKTA awards scholarships to students in their final year of undergraduate studies at the faculties of UKIM
Skopje, 09/04/2023 – This year, OKTA continues the tradition of supporting the future generations, by awarding scholarships to students from the technical and natural science faculties at the state University "St. Cyril and Methodius" (UKIM) in Skopje. The scholarships are intended for five full-time students who are enrolled in the last year of the first cycle of studies in certain study programs at the following faculties: Faculty of Technology - Metallurgy - Skopje, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering - Skopje, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies - Skopje and Faculty of Natural Science and Mathematics - Skopje (Institute of Chemistry).
Right to apply for the scholarship have all full-time students who are enrolled in their final year of undergraduate studies, have achieved an average grade of 8.5 in a in previous years of education, haven’t repeated a year during their studies, are not beneficiaries of other scholarships, have a certificate of knowledge of English language and are citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia. Additionally, candidates who have participated in extracurricular activities such as student congresses, projects and other activities and are not employed will have an advantage for receiving the scholarship.

All interested students can get more information about the announcements on OKTA’s website. Students who meet the conditions for the scholarship will be able to apply no later than 02.10.2023. The received applications will be reviewed by a committee composed of representatives from OKTA and the respective faculty.
The scholarships are awarded as part of the long-lasting program "New Generation", which the company develops with the aim of supporting young people in their educational process, which is one of the main postulates in OKTA's strategy for social responsibility. As part of the program and in cooperation with UKIM, so far OKTA has awarded 42 postgraduate scholarships, while more than 100 students had the opportunity for practical work in the company.
