OKTA Continues Its Traditional New Year's Donation to Support Neighboring Schools

Skopje, 27.12.2024 - In the spirit of the New Year holidays, OKTA continued its tradition of supporting the local community through donations aimed at the central municipal primary school "Braka Miladinovci" in Miladinovci, as well as the two branch schools in the villages of Mrsevci and Tekija in the Municipality of Ilinden. This year, in addition to New Year's candy packages, the company also donated a power generator to ensure uninterrupted conducting of the classes in the event of power shortages.

"We remain committed to our mission to provide continuous support for the education and development of future generations by improving their learning conditions. This holiday season, we delighted the children with New Year's packages, and with the donation of the power generator, we believe we will ensure continuity in conducting classes, which is particularly challenging during the winter months," stated Marija Stavreva, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at OKTA.

This pre-New Year donation is part of OKTA's ongoing socially responsible activities aimed at education and improving conditions for students in the local community. This year, these activities included the donation of two photovoltaic power plants to schools in Veles and Gevgelija, the donation of photovoltaic traffic signs near schools in Municipality of Centar, and the implementation of a traffic education campaign for the youngest as part of OKTA's "I watch out" platform.

The director of the central primary school "Braka Miladinovci," Darko Petkovski, expressed his gratitude to the OKTA team for their support. "This donation will significantly improve the operation of our school, especially in conditions where additional energy security is necessary. The packages brought great joy to our youngest pupils, who always look forward to this wonderful holiday surprise," said Petkovski.
