OKTA Laboratory Successfully Accredited to the Newest ISO Standard
(Скопје, 17.04.2019) - OKTA laboratory last week become one of the first laboratories in the country that successfully implemented the accreditation process according to the latest МКС EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 international standard. This accreditation certificate marks the laboratory as qualified and competent to provide services in the field for which it is accredited, increases its value and insures high level of confidence in the results among the users of its services.
Through this process, OKTA laboratory, fulfilling the new criteria and requirements made a transition to the new version of the МКС EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard which it acquired in 2006 when it was the first accredited laboratory in the country. The accreditation process involved on-site and performance assessments as well as ongoing proficiency testing of the employees who are working at the laboratory. The accreditation was conducted by an expert commission of the Institute for Accreditation of the Republic of North Macedonia as an authorized institution for this kind of assessments.
OKTA laboratory performs analysis of different oil derivatives such as motor gasolines, diesel fuel, jet fuel, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and burning oils (extra light and fuel oil). A total of 53 methods (EN ISO, ASTM, IP) have been accredited at the laboratory while annually on average more than 20.000 analysis are done. By virtue of the laboratory’s high performance, for the fourth consecutive year the company has successfully been implementing its Program Guarantee, through which the quality and the quantity of the fuels on all OKTA branded petrol stations is guaranteed.
