"Until now the practice has shown that the program for awarding scholarships for the second cycle of studies at UKIM, which is a very significant segment of OKTA's social responsibility strategy, is recognizable among students and the number of registered candidates increases significantly from year to year. This gives us an additional motive to continue supporting the individual and scientific development of young people, and thus to contribute to the creation of high-quality personnel who will offer new opportunities for the development of the community," said the Chief Executive Officer of OKTA, Vuk Radovic.
All details about the Public Call are available on the website and social media platforms of OKTA, as well as on the websites of the faculties for which the scholarships are awarded. Starting from 2017 until today, by signing the Memorandum of Cooperation with UKIM, the number of supported postgraduates within the "New Generation" program of OKTA reached 45 students. “One of the main strategic objectives of St. Cyril and Methodius" in Skopje, but at the same time a challenge it faces not only on the domestic, but also on the common European market of education, labour and innovation, is co-operation with the world of business at all levels. In this direction, the signing of the Memorandum of Co-operation between OKTA and the University is of particular importance, as the link between the university, the business sector and society is being developed and strengthened in this way. University, as the most important part of the overall educational system, will be able to successfully perform its function in the development and promotion of society and as a vital center for the creation of high-quality professional staff - it will continue to meet high standards for their integration into the labour market, following the demand" - stated Prof. Dr. Nikola Jankulovski Rector of UKIM.
The support of the education and the new generations, is one of the basic goals of the Corporate Responsibility Strategy of OKTA AD - Skopje. In addition to providing scholarships to the best students from UKIM faculties, within the framework of the "New Generation" program, during the past years seven postgraduate scholarships were awarded both at the Universities of Piraeus and Crete (Republic of Greece), while around 100 students have been part of the internship program of OKTA, through which interns have the opportunity to gain practical experience and upgrade their knowledge, or some of them even become part of the company's team.
