OKTA’s employees with numerous support of the World Hunger Day
(Skopje, 04.11.2019) - OKTA’s employees massively supported the annual World Hunger Day global initiative again this year. On October 24, by jointly giving up their daily meal coupons, they fundraised for 245 meals for the socially vulnerable families in the country. This activity was organized in cooperation with the Red Cross and, by the help of their network, the food packages will be delivered to the families who can’t afford a decent meal.
The employees demonstrated their humanity in action through the blood donation campaign that took place the same day too. This was the third blood donating activity held this year with a total of 90 blood donors participating. OKTA has a nearly 40-year long tradition in organizing blood donation campaigns,and during this period a total of 135 such humanitarian events have been organized.
This socially responsible activity was rated as highly caring and successful. The Red Cross informed about it in its newsletter. OKTA is particularly proud that the awareness on the importance of socially responsible engagement is constantly growing within the company, especially considering the fact that main initiators and supporters of these kind of activities are the employees themselves.
