Scholarships for postgraduate studies in Greece from OKTA and Hellenic Petroleum for the students from North Macedonia
(Skopje, 10.05.2019) – The students from North Macedonia have the opportunity to win full scholarships for postgraduate studies in Greece from OKTA and Hellenic Petroleum Group. The scholarship, in addition to the tuition fees of the faculties, also covers the living expenses for the students in Greece, in the amount of 1.000 euros per month.
The competition for scholarships which is already open for application refers to the Postgraduate studies in Master’s Program in Energy: Strategy, Law and Economics at the University of Piraeus and for the Postgraduate Studies in Petroleum Engineering at the Technical University of Crete. Students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, Faculty of Electrical Engineering & Information Technologies, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Faculty of Law and Faculty of Economics according to the profile of the postgraduate programs are eligible to apply for the competition. The received applications will be evaluated by professional committees at the universities and they will choose the scholarship recipients. The application deadline for both programs expires on May 31, 2019.
Both postgraduate programs offer education through innovative methods that include seminars, educational visits, research projects related to energy markets and the oil industry in and outside Greece with a special emphasis on the wider Balkans and the region of South-East Europe, where the Hellenic Petroleum Group is active. Thus, the scholarships are an excellent opportunity for ambitious students to continue their education and upgrade their theoretical and practical knowledge at prominent universities in Greece. The research and teaching of both postgraduate programs are conducted entirely in English.
OKTA and Hellenic Petroleum program for awarding postgraduate scholarships to the Macedonian students started two years ago and for a third consecutive year the companies offer postgraduate studies at prestigious universities. The main goal of Hellenic Petroleum Group through implementing this program is to invest in education and training of talented students, in order to enable them to gain a wider scientific basis in the fields of oil industry and the energy sector.
